When we asked what you wanted to know more about, the answer was ‘life, the universe and everything’!!
It all started during one fruitful supervision session where you were asking for more training and CPD. The term ‘Camping with Kirsty’ was coined… Although not everyone likes camping, we have even been talking about glamping too and we did have a look at Royal Victoria Country Park…
To get the ball rolling, we started with a shorter and warmer option. No camping involved, ‘just’ CPD – practical therapist & coach training, on a Saturday in the group room at our office. And our Introduction to ACT, residential weekend, was a huge success (bunkbeds, not camping :)
Our continued professional development (CPD) programme is designed for practicing coaches, psychotherapists, and counsellors at level 4 and up. We combine theory and self-applicable practice so that you can use what you've learned right away to support your clients when you return to your own office.
All workshops below/on the right are held in person at our offices in Southampton - with the exception of the Online one 😁
If you want to make a group booking; we could accommodate this, either at our office or at yours, on a different date.

Working with couples can be some of the most rewarding and challenging work you do as a therapist. Two people bring their histories, expectations, communication styles and emotions into the room, and you are asked to hold the space between them.
Doing Couple Counselling – The KvLS Method™ is a practical training programme designed to help you develop confidence and structure when working with couples. The course introduces a clear framework that mirrors the journey many couples take in therapy: understanding communication patterns, working with conflict, supporting repair and reconnection, navigating complexity, and helping couples sustain change beyond therapy.
The focus throughout is not on “fixing” relationships, but on helping partners understand each other more clearly and develop the tools to work through difficulties together.
This 10 week course cost £450 per person. This includes all materials, practitioner licence, coffee/tea and biscuits!
"Thank you so much Kirsty. This has been a fascinating training on working with couples and communication.
The course was really well structured and reflects Kirsty’s years of experience in working with couples, combined with her experience as a supervisor.
We learned so much in a very short space of time and the course materials and handouts were excellent. There was a good balance between learning and group discussion. I feel very well prepared to take a deep breath and take on my 1st couple. I have also found a lot of what we learned really useful to apply to my individual practice.
I really recommend attending all sessions in person. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend a couple of sessions in person, and it is never as good online. Also, I missed out on the biscuits!"

"I recently completed Kirsty's "Doing Couple Counselling" CPD, and can't recommend it highly enough. The structure was perfect: everything flowed logically and built beautifully week by week, which made it easy to absorb the material and stay engaged across the whole ten weeks.
Kirsty is wonderfully creative in how she delivers the material, and the discussions each week were genuinely engaging — I always came away with so much to reflect on. It was clear, accessible, and thoughtfully put together from start to finish.
I really enjoyed it and learnt so much that will directly benefit my practice. I feel far more confident working with couples as a result. Thank you, Kirsty!"

"I found this couples counselling course incredibly helpful. It was well-structured, engaging, and packed with valuable knowledge that I can apply directly in my practice. The balance of theory, practical skills, and real-life examples made the learning both accessible and meaningful.
Kirsty created a warm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and sharing experiences. Her knowledge and passion for couples counselling really came across throughout the course, and she presented the material in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand.
I finished the course feeling much more confident in my understanding of couples counselling and with a range of practical tools and approaches that I can use with clients. I would highly recommend this course to any counsellor looking to develop their skills, increase their confidence, and deepen their understanding of working with couples."
